A couple of days after Duane got home, Tunetha decide to go pay Carly a visit. She stopped by the PH at a time when she knew Sonny wouldn't be there. When she got there, Ralph let her right in. As the door closed behind her, Carly came down the stiars.
"What do you want?, Sonny's at work?" she asked as she sat on the couch.
"I know that I came to see you"
"why?"
"because I'm tired of your attitude towards me. I've tried to be nice to you from day one and all I get is your sh*t"
"nice, you call youself nice? I don't think draping all over my husband in my house is nice"
"So what am I supposed to do stop bieng myself becasue it doesn't fit your definition of nice?"
"No just stop bieng yourself with my husband"
"Do you doubt him so much you can' stand to see him bien friends with another woman"
Both were doing a great job of controlling thier tone of voice but you could tell that with each exchange of words the two were getting angrier.
"Its not him I don't trust its you!"
"why?"
"why shouldn't I??
"I don't know maybe because I don't want him"
"why not??
"what do you mean why not?
"he and duane look alike, so if your attracted to Duane why aren't you attracted to Sonny??"
Tunetha couldn't help but laught at that one "First off the only thing they have in common is dark hair and dark eyes, second Sonny is off limits and third and most important, I'm with Duane, I'm happy with Duane and would like to keep it that way.
"And I'm supposed to believe you why?? I've seen the way you and Sonny are together??"
Tunetha was growing tired of thier fighting. "You don't have to believe me, but believe this--If I wanted Sonny, he would have already been mine." They both stood there in silence letting Tunetha's last words hang in the air
"Maybe I am too affectionate" she began after awhile "But I'm like that with all my male friends. But if it means that you'll stop giving me all of your sh*t and start working with me on this Nurse's Ball thing. I'm willing to try and curb the whole affectionate thing. I'm not making any promises though I've been this way ever since I can remember."
"Well I wouldn't want you to try too hard. He'd get suspicious and then end up getting mad at me. And if your willing to curb the affection thin , then I'll try and not give you so much sh*t and be a little nicer to you"
"Whew, that wasn't too hard was it?"
"Nah, not to hard"
They both chuckled.
"Well I'll let you go" Tunetha said as she walked towards the door.
"Wait, what are you gonna do today?"
"Probably shop, why??"
"I was just wondering if you'd like to spend the day together, you know getting to know each other. I have an errand to run, but then I was gonna go shopping."
"Sounds like fun" Tunetha said. The girls grabbed thier purses and then were out the door. They were by no means friends yet, but they weren't enemies either.
