More Than Words

Tamia walked off the elevator full of confidence, she was here to collect and she wasn't leaving until she did.

When Elton saw her he did a double take. Even though he was gay he knew a beautiful women when he saw one. She had on tan leather pants, tan boots and a white sweater, that buttoned down the front and had a belt. She had long thick black hair that was just curled at the ends.

She smiled as Elton appraised her. She wasn't offended in fact she was flattered, it was obvious he was gay and if he was looking at her that hard she knew she looked good.

"Hi, you must be Elton" she told him as she extended her hand, which he eagerly took. "I'm Tamia Tidwell, I'm here to see Caroline."

"Well Mrs. Corinthos isn't in yet, but Ms. Spencer is" he told her as he pointed to her office.

"That's okay Elton, I'm not here on business. This is personal, so if you don't mind I'll wait for a litle while."

"No, not at all" he told her as he came from around his desk. "Can I get you something...tea, water, coffee, a latte??"

"You know I'd love a latte" she told him as she flashed her dimples at him. It was so much fun to play people when they didn't know they were bieng played.

"Right away!!" he told her excitedly. Nobody until now ever wanted one of his lattes.

30 mins later

Elton was busy at work, and Tamia was walking around the front office. Trying to get a feel for who decorated. Tamia swore up and down that you could tell all about a person by how they decorated. It was obvious to her that Carly had nothing to do with the decorating.

Laura came out of her office and saw the strange yet attractive women standing at the end of the hall looking out a window. "Who's that??" she whispered to Elton.

"That's Tamia Tidwell, she's here to see Carly. It's personal" he told her in a hushed voice. But not hushed enough for her not to hear.

"You must be Laura Spencer" she turned around and told her.

"Why, yes I am." she said unsure of why she asked. "and you are??"

"Tamia Tidwell" she said as she crossed the room and held out her hand "Its nice to meet you"

"Oh my goodness...your THE Tamia Tidwell..I knew your name sounded familiar." Elton shouted out.

"Well Elton I did tell you that when I met you." she smiled at him. She didn't expect it to take this long for the connection to come to his mind. He did work in the cosmetics business after all, you would think he knew his competition.

"As in JAX cosmetics, Tamia Tidwell??" Laura asked. She had just read about her and how she single handly raised Jax's earnings 58% in the first quarter.

"Did you really leave JAX Cosmetics because you got bored??" Elton asked

"Yes I did" she told them matter-of-factly. "I am fortunate enough to marry someone with lots of money, who loves me very much. So my job was a hobby and when I got bored I didn't think it was fair to drag the company down, because I could care less about cosemetics and sales"

"I think this job is a hobby to someone else, too" Laura whispered under her breath. Tamia ignored the little comment...bitch she thought to herself.

Tamia walked to Elton's desk to see what Laura had in her hands. "Are those the face pictures??"

"yes they are" Laura told her "I was hoping Carly would be here by now." Tamia and Elton both looked at thier watches and rolled thier eyes it was only 10 am there was no way Carly was going to be there already.

"just out of curiosity, what's your projected demographic for cosmetic sales??" Tamia asked

"My what??"Laura questioned.

"Who are you selling too??" Tamia asked slightly irritated.

"I don't know, I hadn't thought about it..."Laura stammered.

"Well you in luck, I'm bored, and feel like money for someone else, so what do we say we go into your office and discuss your projections for sales??" Tamia said more than asked as she nudged Laura towards her office.

"Well sure if you don't mind??" Laura told her as she looked over her shoulder, shocked by her generosity.

"Of course not, otherwise I wouldn't have offered" she told her as she followed her into the office. "Oh, and Elton would you be a doll and hold all the menial calls" she flashed him her dimples.

"Sure no problem" he told her shocked by how she just took over, but glad that someone with some business sense was finally stepping in.
