Rose Conference Room

They all file into the room and have a seat. Dr. Ross sits at the head of the table opposite of Sonny.

"I don't think you all understand how serious Tunetha's condition was and continues to be" he began "A traumatic coma is brought on by the patients subconscious, that means that deep down they don't want to deal for one reason or another. From the behavior you have displayed this morning its obvious why a coma that really should have only lasted a few hours lasted a month."

"Are you saying we are why she was in coma??" Emily asked

"Not you as individuals, but you as a group" he answered "what ever issues you guys have now, need to be resolved away from her. I understand that there is an issue of trust at risk here"

"what do you mean" Sonny asked

"I understand that you had told both your wife and Tunetha NOT to go down to Courtland St, and yet they went anyway. You warned them, they ignored it and now they were hurt because of it"

"you told her about that" Carly shouted

"yes I did" Sonny told her calmy "she's the only reason we are still together" he looked at her with an anger that scared everyone, even kevin collins who walked in on the end of the sentence

"what do you mean??"Carly asked tears begining to fall.

"I've told you several times that there are things you can't do and yet you continue to do them. One day I got fed up with your lack of respect and your constant disobiedance....

"disobiedance??" Carly, Chloe and Kysela all whispered at the same time

"and went to talk to her, looking for a place to stay while you found someplace else to live. And instead she convinced me to give you another chance" he told her ignoring the interruption.

"If i may, why did you let her convince you to stay if what you wanted was out" Kevin asked

"Because I love my wife, and she reminded me of that"

"how did you feel when you found out that Carly and Tunetha were hurt??"

"i was afraid that I'd have thier blood on my hands and that not only had I lost my best friend but my wife as well." he said a little uncomfortable discussing this in front of everyone.

"is your best friend Carly??" Kevin probed.

"no" he answered hanging his head avoiding all of their piercing stares "Tunetha is"

Duane could feel the anger building in him not so much at Carly but at Sonny and Tunetha "Is friendship really all you have??" he spat at his boss.

"yes it is"

"no offense but this really seems to be about them, why are we all in here??" Johnny asked Chloe, Kysela, Zander, Emily, Gia, Nikolas silently agreed.

"I didn't know who this all included, but if you guys are uncomfortable you can leave" Dr. Ross told them. The 7 quickly exited the room and headed to her room to wait for her.

As they walked down the hall Kysela told Johnny "Thanks for getting us out of there, that's one discussion I definetly don't want to have any part of"

Gia quickly felt quilty about leaving Carly in there by herself and turned back around without saying anything and went back into the Conference room.

The group continued to argue for hours with Kevin mediating. Nothing really was resolved there was a lot of pent up anger and hositility among the four. Gia couldn't believe they all were acting so childish and selfish when Tunetha had just woken up. It looked though that Carly couldn't handle the relationship Sonny had with Tunetha and was leaving him.

The group finally gave up on getting anything resolved and left the room all angry with everyone else.

Sonny walked up to Nurse Greene and asked her where Tunetha was, he didn't buy the Dr's story at all.

"Are you Sonny??" she asked

"yes I am" he told her wondering why it was important to her to know who he was

"she was asking for you, I'll take you to her"

Tunetha was still in the nursery, rocking Cheyanna. Gail had come up to talk to her. And that's how Sonny found her, holding a baby in one hand wiping tears from her eyes with another.

"hey beautiful" he told as he sat down next to her in another rocking chair

"hey, so you guys are finished arguing about me" she said as she looked at him

"for now anyway" he told her truthfully

"I'm sorry" she told him, holding the baby closer to her.

"shh, don't. its over now" he told her as grabbed her hand

"how over is over??" she asked concerened

"for them over over, carly is leaving me...seems there a lot of things she'll put up with but deciet isn't one of them" he chuckled at the irony of it all.

She shook her head as she watched Sonny try to cope with what she knew was breaking his heart. "your coming home with me" she told him

"I don't think that's such a good idea, Duane will probaly agree with me" he told her remembering the look of hate in his eyes when he found out he and Tunetha were best friends

"I don't remember asking Corinthos." she told him sternly "Duane will deal or he can go stay with Carly. The two of them get along just fine."

He was amazed by her, here she was just waking up from a coma and ready to take on the world already. He gave up fighting he knew it'd be futile "who's this??" he asked pointing to Cheyanna

"This is Cheyanna." she looked at the little girl proudly, a stranger would have thought that they were mother and daughter. "Chey is 6 mths old, addicted to crack and for what its worth has been abandoned by her mom. Her mom has postpartum depression"

"Well she's a lucky little girl now"

"how do you figure??"

"she has you as a friend, a person doesn't get any luckier than that."

"Thank you" she told him as she leaned over and kissed him on the cheek.

The nursing staff assuming they were a couple commented on how when they had children they were sure Tunetha and Sonny would make wonderful parents.
